Easy DIY Skin Lotion Bars
I love DIY body butter- I use it every day and it’s really easy to make, but sometimes it’s just too oily to use in the morning. That’s why I love our DIY Skin Lotion Bars
How to Make an Easy-to-store bar!
Another great way to moisturize your skin, but prevent that extra oily feel that most DIY body butters have, is to use cocoa butter in combination with beeswax pellets. These two ingredients create a solid structure that makes a beautiful hydrating lotion bar. Pour these into fun molds and they make great, thoughtful gifts!
DIY Skin Lotion Bar Recipe Instructions
On medium heat, melt together your Cocoa Butter and Beeswax Pellets. Remove from heat and stir in your oil and essential oils. Pour into a mold and let set for several hours in the refrigerator. This yields one medium sized lotion bar, this recipe can easily be multiplied to yield several bars at once.
For a beautiful Christmas gift I use peppermint, that in combination with the scent of the cocoa butter makes a great Christmas scent!
