I had to find a remedy for the oily texture to most DIY Body Butter recipes, the trick- arrow root powder and beeswax! The arrowroot helps thicken and absorb the oils, while the beeswax locks the moisture into your skin.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my homemade body butters, but they can leave you looking like you’re walking into a wrestling ring with that well oiled skin! Those body butters are great if you apply before bed, but putting those on in the morning you will have everything sticking to your skin- no fun! So if you want moisturized skin all day without that extra oily skin you have to try this recipe!
All Natural Oil Free Body Butter Instructions
Melt your butter, coconut oil, and beeswax on your stove top at medium heat.
Once these are melted, remove from heat and mix in the rest of your ingredients.
Allow these to set, then use a hand mixer to whip into a creamy consistency. Enjoy moisturized, non-greasy skin all day long!
All Natural Oil Free Body Butter Ingredients
- 4 oz Essential Living shea butter, mango butter, or cocoa butter
- 2 oz coconut oil
- 2 tsp Essential Living beeswax pellets
- 2 oz Essential Living sweet almond oil
- 1/2 tsp Essential Living jojoba oil
- 1tbsp arrow root powder
- 1/2 tsp Essential Living vitamin e oil
- 30 drops of your favorite essential oil(s)
